Bible Text: Isaiah 55, Psalm 65, Romans 8:7-17, Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23 | Preacher: Fr. Jim Cheetham | What occupies the thrown of your heart today?
All across the scripture, there have been references made on how important the heart is in terms of our Christian life and growth. An example is when Jesus was asked about the most important commandment. He said, love the Lord your God with all your heart. Our hearts are important to God, He wants our heart.
In Jesus’ parable of the sower, Jesus describes 4 different scenarios of the sower. In each of the scenarios, the sower is sowing seed but the difference is the condition of the soil, which refers to the different kinds of people we have based on how they hear the message of the kingdom of God. Have you opened your heart to listen to God? Which soil do you represent?
